Warden Security Message

This Warden Message alerts U.S. citizens to a significant increase in armed robberies in Juba, Southern Sudan. With few exceptions, these incidents have targeted expatriates and have occurred between the hours of 1am - 4am. American citizens living or traveling in Sudan, particularly in Juba, should limit early morning travel, review their security posture, and take prudent steps to ensure their personal safety.
We note that the Department of State continues to warn against all travel to Sudan. Citizens living or traveling in Sudan despite the Travel Warning are encouraged to register with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate through the Department of State's website,
http://travel.state.gov, to obtain updated information travel and security within Sudan. By registering, American citizens make it easier
for the Embassy to contact them in case of emergency.
