Getting a Visa

Consular Services Resume

As of Monday, March 25th, 2013 the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy Khartoum, Sudan will resume full Consular services including American citizen services (ACS), non-immigrant visa (NIV) processing, follow-to-join refugee/asylee processing (visas 92/93) and DNA testing. Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) Services

The U.S. Embassy in Khartoum processes applications for all categories of non-immigrant visas, including visas for tourism, study, and business travel.

Online application form required

All applicants for non-immigrant visas are required to complete and submit a DS-160 online application form, through the consular electronic application center (CEAC). You must bring your printed confirmation sheet, with barcode, to your interview.

Visa interviews

With the exception of government officials and diplomats traveling to the United States to conduct official business, all visa applicants must schedule an appointment for an interview at the U.S. Embassy. There is a fee

The U.S. Embassy in Khartoum is located on U.S. Embassy Road, Kilo 10, Soba, off Wad Medani Highway. Consular visitors should use the separate entrance at the east end of the complex that is marked for consular services. Applicants must complete a CEAC  application prior to scheduling an appointment.
